Who we are and what we have been doing since 1998 – together.

The Riegelhofer wine estate is Susanne and Max Riegelhofer. Max was born and bred in Poysdorf and is a passionate winemaker while Susanne was born in the Pfalz and is a “networker”. They got to know each other, and fell in love, during their studies at Geisenheim in Germany. Since 2005 they have been running the Riegelhofer estate with dedication and passion.

Their motto is “fresh, lively wines, which make you want to drink more”. They make wines which are typical of the region from that which nature has to offer: Welschriesling, Zweigelt and in particular Grüner Veltliner, of which they are particularly proud. Dry, spicy-fruity and with the typical peppery character, this wine fulfils all the criteria essential for a genuine Grüner Veltliner from the Weinviertel.

Max and Sussane like to spend convivial evenings with nice people. Visit the Riegelhofer estate, try the wines and have a great time with them both!
