Wine estate Hugl-Wimmer

Our estate is in the eastern part of the Weinviertel, directly in the wine town of Poysdorf. The family tradition of making wine goes back to 1724. In 2007 we took over the estate from our parents. Since then a few things have changed, although we have of course kept the tried and tested things from the past. Despite this we have set ourselves some new goals which are already slowly starting to bear fruit.

Our main focus is on Grüner Veltliner with its typical spicy-peppery character. Our range of Veltliner wines ranges from the light and fruity “Poysdorfer Saurüssel” with 11.5% abv, to the typical regional Veltliner “Weinviertel DAC” with 12.5% abv and our full-bodied wine, the Veltliner Classic, with its very concentrated fruit.
